Cranberry: A Delightful Smoothie Addition
It’s difficult to get all the right nutrients in your diet this time of year. Don’t forget that smoothies are a great way to condense most of your daily vegetable needs
Cranberries have been featuring heavily in my smoothies lately. They are sweet, tangy, and full of fiber and antioxidants.
1 cup water
3-4 kale leaves (with or without stems)
A handful of mixed greens salad mix
½ cup cranberries (fresh or frozen, not dried)
½ cup blueberries
½ cup plain, full-fat yogurt
Buzz everything together in a blender until smooth. Add a few ice cubes if you want it to be colder. You can also store many of the ingredients for your smoothies in the freezer so they are cold to begin with.
