Magic Sparkling Water Machine
We’re Using Our DIY Kegerator for Sparkling Water, and It’s the Best Thing Ever Maybe.
My fiance made this several years ago when he lived in a house with more roommates. They made their own beer and needed a fancy way to store and serve it up. Now the two of us live together and drink less beer, but it’s getting a lot of use by giving us sparkling water on tap. It has seriously increased my water intake, and it makes drinking water more fun and delicious.
It doesn’t have to be this big, I guess, and you don’t have to keep it in your kitchen. Our dream is to keep this baby in the basement and run a line up through the wall into the kitchen upstairs. Updates on this ambitious plan to follow.
You can make one too if you like sparkling water (or beer).
Some Reasons You Should Drink More Water.
Your body is made up of water. We all know this. Something like 60%-70% of your body is water, and your cells need it to function. The bad news is your body uses up and disposes of water all day and doesn’t have a way to store it for long periods of time (unlike this fun list of animals). So when you don’t drink enough, stuff like this happens:
You get cranky
You lose energy
Your brain temporarily shrinks. Really.
You lose the ability to regulate your body’s temperature (because you can’t sweat)
Look at all these other things!
Even if you don’t enjoy drinking water as much as other things, you can hydrate with foods.
Eat some of these foods that are more than 90% water! Personally, I would rather be eating than doing most other things, so this method really speaks to me.
