Addictive Spicy Pecans

Spicy Pecans

2 Tbl Maple Syrup

1 tsp Thai Curry Paste

1 tsp Sriracha

1 tsp Red Chili Flakes

¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper

1 tsp salt

2 cups raw pecans

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.

  2. Mix all ingredients except the pecans.

  3. Toss in the pecans.

  4. Spread evenly on a baking sheet lined with a silicone mat/parchment paper/foil.

  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, tossing the pecans around about halfway through.

  6. Cool completely and enjoy.

Some Tips!

  1. If using sugar-free maple syrup, definitely go the full 20 minutes.  Real sugar burns more quickly than artificial sweeteners.

  2. The spiciness level here is medium-high.  Find a good balance of cayenne/chili flakes, but try to keep the wet ingredient amounts the same for texture consistency.

  3. This is unfortunately not as delicious when substituting pecans for almonds.  There is a big texture difference that makes them not so satisfying, but feel free to try other nuts.
