Sober October: Fall Smoothies (OR Soups!)
Now that the air has turned chillier and we’re well into the Fall season it may be difficult to choose between healthful and comforting foods. As much as I love pushing smoothies as a great way to get your micro-nutrients in everyday, a cold thick smoothie is not always appealing in “cozy-up” season.
These smoothies add seasonal spice you’ve been dreaming of to your daily dose of health, and can be converted easily to a soup with the addition of a little chicken broth and heat!
For all smoothies I recommend placing the liquid ingredients in the blender first, and blending on high for at least 2 minutes until the texture is completely smooth.
