MK’s Favorite French Bread Pizza

Loaf of crusty bread

Tomato sauce

Pepperoni

Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Basil

  • Preheat the oven to 400F.

  • Slice the entire loaf in half lengthwise and place both pieces on a baking sheet crust side down.

  • Spread the tomato sauce on the bread, layer on the pepperoni, and sprinkle on the cheese.  Putting the cheese on top of the pepperoni keeps the meat from burning in the oven.

  • Bake for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and just starting to brown.

  • Pull the pizza out of the oven and sprinkle shredded basil on top while it’s still hot.

The loaf pictured is from a batch of this High Fiber Bread with Mushroom Powder, but you can use any kind of crusty bread you like!

This is a great last-minute dinner kind of thing and works well with whatever your favorite toppings are.
